Join Environmental Educator Matthew Morgan at Revolution Park Sports Academy, to help beautify the area around the facility and along Irwin Creek Greenway! Learn a little more about the wildlife that abound in our city, and how we can help protect the environment. We’ll supply litter pickers and trash bags - you bring work gloves, a water bottle and plenty of ENERGY! This a family-friendly event for ages 10 and up.
THANK YOU for choosing to Volunteer with Park & Recreation! Below are a few tips and reminders for a SAFE & PRODUCTIVE Volunteer experience:
- Wear long pants and long sleeves, for protection from scratches and/or poison ivy.
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes – REQUIRED, NO sandals or flip-flops. Wear OLDER shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, wet or muddy.
- Wear heavy-duty work gloves – bring your own gloves if you prefer - extras will be available.
- Wear a hat and sunscreen for protection from sun exposure; and your preferred bug spray, if needed.
- Bring your own water in a large, refillable water bottle; to stay hydrated, avoid the need to refill, and to protect the environment from single-use plastic bottles.
- Please DO NOT enter the stream - you may remove any litter you can SAFELY reach from the stream bank.
