Splish Splash! AQUATIC ALLSTARS is a fun-filled aquatic program in the Northern Regional Recreation Center's Leisure Pool, for people ages 18 and up with a disability. Participants will play various pool games, different sports and hang out with peers - This is NOT a swim lesson program.
Volunteers will be asked to engage with participants in the games and activities in the Leisure Pool - shallow, no more than 4.5 feet deep -providing encouragement to participants. Volunteers will help guide participants in the pool to the various spots being used and assist in activities as needed. Volunteers should be comfortable in the water, but swimming is not required.
- Volunteers are required to wear appropriate swim attire, NO bikinis or Speedos!
- Female bathing suits must be 1 piece or a 'tankini' style that covers the midriff.
- Male bathing suits should consist of trunks.
- A t-shirt is recommended to wear over swimsuits.
- You MUST be at least 18 years old to Volunteer with Therapeutic & Inclusive Recreation Services (TIRS) programs.
- Volunteers may register to help with any or all dates of this 8-week program. If you plan to continue Volunteering on an ongoing basis, please contact VolunteerServices@MeckNC.gov to receive a link to the Park & Recreation Volunteer Enrollment application!
