Join us for the AFFORDABLE HOUSING KICK OFF EVENT with Habitat for Humanity, at Lincoln Heights Park & Community Garden! Volunteers will help with various beautification and garden care tasks, which may include:
- Replacing plywood and painting of raised garden beds
- Raking leaves and weeding, inside and outside of the garden area
- Thorough litter cleanup of the Park
- Art activities
- Additional tasks as time permits
All materials and supplies will be provided! Thank you to the Lincoln Heights Community for providing breakfast, and Habitat CLT for providing lunch! Below are some additional instructions for a safe and productive Volunteer project day:
- Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (REQUIRED!) for safety! Wear old clothes/shoes that can get muddy or dirty, especially if you plan to help with painting.
- Bring your own heavy-duty work gloves, if you prefer - gloves will also be provided.
- Bring a refillable water bottle; and wear a hat, sunscreen and bug spray as needed.
Volunteers must READ and acknowledge the Liability Waiver/Acknowledgment of Risk in their Response - PARENTS must acknowledge for any minors who will attend; and add a note in their response for anyone under the age of 13 who will Volunteer (Must be at least 13 to have a separate account).
