Get ready to WAKE UP THE PARKS! Sign up today to help keep your favorite park or greenway clean and healthy by picking up litter! A great way to spend an hour AT LUNCHTIME by getting outdoors and helping in your community. On this date we will partner with KEEP CHARLOTTE BEAUTIFUL to conduct a cleanup of the surrounding neighborhood streets; as well as picking up litter in the Park.
*Thereasea C. Elder Park is a walk-up park with no parking lot - please park along the street ACROSS FROM the Park, or just down the street at the Rockwell AME Zion Church Fellowship Hall. Watch for signs!
Volunteers should plan to bring their own gloves and water supply, and dress appropriately for the weather. Extra gloves will be available; and litter pickers and trash bags are provided.
- Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes - REQUIRED!
- Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Anyone under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult!
- Each Volunteer must sign up individually in order to acknowledge their review of and agreement with the Volunteer Waiver/Acknowledgement of Risk and Safety Guidelines - READ and click to acknowledge in your response. An adult must acknowledge for anyone under the age of 18.
