Winterfield Community Garden is planning a workday for our members and community Volunteers!
Please join us for this workday on Saturday, November 12, 10:00am to 12:30pm! Volunteers will help with:
- Building a 6" drainage area at the base of our Garden Gazebo to keep water away from the foundation
- Creating a 2' x 20' block raised bed: This involves digging a footing; mixing and pouring Sakrete; and setting the border blocks
- Relocating 2 compost bins to outside the children's back gate
- Scooping up mulch and laying ground cloth on areas around the tool shed and in between beds.
- Removing spent plants and mulching
- Labelling tools and various bins
Please bring your own work gloves and water bottle - we'll provide tools and materials for the projects
Volunteers must READ and acknowledge the Liability Waiver/Acknowledgment of Risk in their Response - PARENTS must acknowledge for any minors who will attend; and add a note in their response for anyone under the age of 13 who will Volunteer (Must be at least 13 to have a separate account).
