Park & Recreation welcomes Volunteers to Sugaw Creek Park in celebration of EARTH DAY 2022! Under the leadership of Harvesting Humanity and dedicated partners, Volunteers will help out with a variety of tasks, which may include:
- Clean out and refurbishing of edible landscape and raised garden beds
- Building and decorating bird houses
- Additional garden-related activities
- Thorough cleanup of the Park and Recreation Center grounds, including litter pickup, limb removal, etc.
Volunteers may register for one or both shifts: 9:00am-12:00 and/or 12:00-3:00pm.
This is a rain or shine event - ponchos will be available, and activities may move under cover or indoors in case of heavy rain. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes; and bring your own work gloves (extras will be available) and refillable water bottle. Snacks will be provided.
