Join us as we celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!!
The film festival, which will be held July 25th, 26th, and 27th, 2025, is a free event celebrating the impact of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) through cinema. The festival will feature a curated selection of films and documentaries that highlight positive portrayals of individuals with disabilities.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to help with a variety of tasks during the Festival which may include:
- Set-up/Site Preparation, wayfinding/signage placement
- Greeter/Usher, Information Booth
- Accessibility Support - assist attendees with disabilities with seating, mobility support, assistive listening devices, sensory bags, appropriate printed materials, etc.
- TECHNOLOGY Support - projection, virtual/livestreamed speakers or panels, accessibility features such as captions, audio descriptions and/or ASL interpreters; A/V equipment such as microphones, etc.
- Outdoor Venue Safety - maintain accessible pathways; heat safety such as water, cooling towels/fans, etc.
- Concessions and Hospitality - distribute snacks and drinks, stock concession tables, maintain clean and welcoming environment.
- Cleanup and Site Tear-Down
VOLUNTEERS must be at least 18 years old for this event - Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather, and closed-toe shoes are required. A Volunteer vest will be provided.
OPENING NIGHT IS AN OUTDOOR, LATE-EVENING PROGRAM - Be prepared to be out at night!
