Volunteer: LOVE HOOPS? Volunteer for Junior/Senior Basketball with TIRS!

Come experience basketball skills and drills and the opportunity to improve sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoy playing alongside friends. For individuals with disabilities - All experience levels welcome! Junior league will practice from 9am-10am. Senior league will follow 10am-11am. Please make sure to wear closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle.             
Volunteers will assist participants with basketballs skills and activities. Tasks may include helping with warm-ups, demonstrating drills, assisting with passing, dribbling, and shooting, and proving positive motivation through the session. Volunteers may also help set up and clean up equipment, ensure participant safety, and promote teamwork and fun!

Volunteers MUST be at least 18 years oldYou must have a Volunteer application/background check approval on file - to apply or check your status, please contact VolunteerServices@MeckNC.gov.

Volunteer: TIRS: BIG TIME BOWLERS - NORTH will roll in Huntersville!

We'll roll out to Spare Time Entertainment for a fun afternoon of bowling and socializing with old or new friends! Practice or develop your bowling skills to get those spares and strikes. Bowling shoes are not required but available to rent if interested. All abilities and skill levels welcome! Offered for adults with disabilities.

VOLUNTEERS may register for any or all of these dates! We need 2 Volunteers on each date to assist by: 

Lining up the bowling ramp during the participant's turn, modeling the movement as a visual example, and giving additional verbal instructions.Communicating and engaging with participants while waiting for the participant's turn.Helping with minimal set up and clean up (bringing balls to the lane and putting them away).

Volunteers MUST be at least 18 years old for this program and should have a current Volunteer application/background check on file if signing up for more than 3 dates. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
