Join us for a "Spring Cleaning" workday at Druid Hills Community Garden! Volunteers will help with weeding the interior of garden plots, spreading gravel and/or mulch and planting our center plot with flowers.
All tools and supplies will be provided! You are welcome to bring your own shovel or hand tools (trowel, weeder, etc.) if you like. Below are some additional instructions for a safe and productive Volunteer project day:
- Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (REQUIRED!) for safety! Wear old clothes/shoes that can get muddy or dirty.
- Bring your own gardening gloves, if you have them - extra gloves will be available.
- Bring a refillable water bottle; and wear a hat, sunscreen and bug spray.
- Volunteers should be at least 16 years old.
PARKING: Use the address listed here for Druid Hills Park - the garden is located on the corner of Poinsett Street and Holland Avenue. This is a walk-up park, please park legally on Poinsett Street, in marked spaces.
