Spring forward! Help us get ready for warm season crops to go in! Just like people - some seeds like it hot, some like it cool, and some are variable. Join the experienced gardeners from Winterfield’s Education Garden and learn more about the timing for sowing seeds and transplants in the Carolina’s Piedmont region. We will be weeding, mulching, and a variety of garden tasks.
We will provide a cooler of cold water. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
- Anyone under 18 years old must have a parent/adult with them.
- Please bring your own work gloves and hand tools/clippers if you have them - We'll have some equipment on hand.
- Wear long pants, long sleeves; and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED!
- *Be warned: No restroom facilities at or close to this site.
PARKING: Use the listed address for GPS - 3105 Winterfield Place, 28205 - the Garden is on the right directly across from Winterfield Elementary School. Park on the street in front of the Garden's main entrance, or in the school parking lot.
