Beat the heat and help us jump start our fall crops! Tomatoes are tired and weeds are abundant, but savvy gardeners know that fall is a great time for gardening in the NC Piedmont. Mild fall temperatures and a late frost date allows us to sow a second crop of many veggies like green beans and cucumbers or plant a cover crop to feed the soil! Come help us remove weeds and prepare our beds and take home some ideas for your own fall garden. We will provide a cooler of cold water - please bring a refillable water bottle. Please bring your own work gloves and hand tools if you have them - We'll have some equipment on hand.
Wear long pants, long sleeves (optional); and closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED!
*Be warned: No restroom facilities at or close to this site.
