Join us for SPRING CLEANING at the NEWLY RENOVATED Community Garden at Druid Hills Park! We'll be clearing out winter "cover" vegetation to get the gardens ready for the Spring season; as well as working on any other tasks that need to be accomplished! We'll also be giving the gardens and Park a thorough clean-up, time permitting.
All materials and supplies will be provided! Below are some additional instructions for a safe and productive Volunteer project day:
- Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (REQUIRED!) for safety! Wear old clothes/shoes that can get muddy or dirty,
- Bring your own heavy-duty work gloves, if you prefer - gloves will also be provided.
- Bring a refillable water bottle; and wear a hat, sunscreen and bug spray as needed.
- Be aware that there may not be restroom facilities at or near this location.
- Anyone under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult/parent!
PARKING: There is no parking lot at Druid Hills Park! Please park legally on the Park side of Poinsett Street, without blocking any driveways, and look for Park & Recreation vehicles and staff.
