THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED DUE TO EXPECTED RAIN AND/OR STORMS!
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the very first geocache hidden in North Carolina GC70 (Octopus Garden), let's get together and clean up the area where it's hidden!
The Campbell Creek Greenway is a beautiful trail running through south-central Charlotte, and the home of GC70 Octopus Garden, the first geocache hidden in North Carolina on 9/30/2000.
Partnering with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation, let's get together to clean up this historic place for Geocaching and care for the Octopus Garden.
Volunteers are expected to bring their own work gloves, trash pickers, water, and snacks. Those with access to pull-along wagons that don't mind them being filled with trash so we can haul what we find to the dumpsters at McAlpine Creek Park afterward will be greatly appreciated. Trash bags will be provided.
