Park & Recreation welcomes Samaritan's Feet for their first-ever event focused on SENIORS in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area! During this event at Arbor Glen Outreach Center, Samaritan's Feet will be providing new shoes and socks to people in the community, along with encouraging messages of Hope!
Volunteers will assist with a variety of stations, including but not limited to:
- Greeters – Greet seniors as they arrive; assist with check-in; escort seniors to fitting area or direct to vendors. (3-5 Volunteers)
- Shoe Distribution Area – Assist with retrieving shoes from storage area and delivering Hope Totes to Fitters/recipients (5-6 Volunteers)
- Fitters – Work 1:1 with recipients to fit shoes and review information/materials (10-15 Volunteers)
- Floaters – Assist as needed with any/all tasks (5-10 Volunteers)
Volunteers should be at least 16 years old for this event; a parent/adult must acknowledge the Liability Waiver for anyone under the age of 18.
