Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Swim League is a limited-competitive swim program ideal for individuals ages 6-17. Swimmers work on stroke techniques throughout the practices and compete in two swim meets. Each swim meet, children will have the opportunity to show off their strokes and speed in 2-3 different events. Children compete in designated age groups.
VOLUNTEERS will be utilized as swim event timers (start/stop time once kids swim length and touch the wall) and/or assisting kids to line-up for next swim event in order of swim lane. Volunteers will be around pool deck and wet swimmers, please wear clothes that may get splashed. Swim meets take place on 2 dates - You may sign up for either date/shift or for both! Volunteers arrive at 9:30am; events take place 10:00am-1:00pm.
- Volunteer assistants will NOT be in the water - No swimming required.
- Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
