Description

Park & Recreation welcomes the Charlotte Area Hotel Association, as they Volunteer to help clean up litter from Frazier Park, as well as along Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenways.

THANK YOU for choosing to Volunteer with Park & Recreation, and for participating in the "EARTH DAY 2023" initiative! Below are a few tips and reminders for a SAFE & PRODUCTIVE Volunteer experience:

  • Wear long pants for protection from scratches.
  • Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes – REQUIRED, NO sandals or flip-flops. Wear OLDER shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, wet or muddy.
  • Wear heavy-duty work gloves – bring your own gloves for health and safety, extras will be available.
  • Wear a hat and sunscreen for protection from sun exposure; and your preferred bug spray, if needed.
  • Face coverings are optional, especially outdoors, when in the vicinity of other people. Please use your own judgment, understanding that there is still some risk regarding Covid.
  • Bring your own water in a large, refillable water bottle; to stay hydrated, avoid the need to refill, and to protect the environment from single-use plastic bottles.
