Description

Park & Recreation's Therapeutic and Inclusive Recreation Services (TIRS) is partnering with Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation Charlotte to host a Brain Injury Awareness Walk! The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about brain injuries and those living with one, as well as to connect individuals in this population to resources and support.

VOLUNTEERS will be asked to assist individuals through the walk (i.e. guiding along the walk trail, assisting someone using a wheelchair) as needed. They also may assist with water stations; set-up and teardown of activity stations, such as yoga, chair chi, painting; and overall encouragement throughout the event!

*Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to help with TIRS programs.
