This is a monthly evening of fishing for participants ages 10 and up, of all abilities. Participants get the chance to learn basics of fishing, how to cast a line, and hopefully reel in a fish or 2 while enjoying a relaxing time by the water.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to help participants as needed with the fishing skills - hooking a worm, casting the line, and reeling the line in. If volunteers have fishing knowledge and skills, they can also assist with fixing lines if needed - such as untangle a line or tying on a new hook. Volunteers are also needed to help ensure participants are staying safe while fishing. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old for TIRS programs!
PARKING: After entering the Nature Preserve from Sample Road, continue to the Waterfront parking lot, closest to the fishing pier and the Audubon/Cattail Trails.
